1888 Building External Conservation Works

Value  $3.2M

This project consisted of extensive conservation works to the roof and facade of UoM’s heritage-listed 1888 Building in Parkville. It included structural remediation, the complete replacement and modification of the copper roof drainage and a new height safety access system. This required specialist heritage tradespeople such as leadworkers, sculptors and slate roofers. Managing the interface between the construction works and the university community was critical to ensuring the safety of staff and students, and required comprehensive planning and consultation.
